- Advanced IP Scanner compromised? : r sysadmin - Reddit
It’s a watering hole attack All us sysadmin critters will Google “advanced IP scanner” and download the top link before tracking down the executable somewhere on the network Buy google ads to keep your malicious version at the top and you all of a sudden have your malware getting deployed across enterprise networks for you
- Network scans returning all IP addresses as active : r fortinet - Reddit
Hoping someone here knows the answer to what my google-fu is failing to find: When using a network scanner (like advanced IP scanner) I am getting back all IP addresses as active or in use, even if I know they're not in use Is there a setting I can change in 6 4 5 to get only valid responses?

- Advanced ip scanner unknowns : r techsupport - Reddit
One reason this shows up is that the scanner could be using the term "unknown" as its catchall for attempts without a response This is the most likely reason Another reason could be the firewall setup on your router It could be actively blocking ports and protocols on all of the individual IP addresses it maintains

- Advanced IP Scanner : r msp - Reddit
I love this tool, but I've seen it miss certain things on the network I haven't quite been able to put my finger on if it's Advanced IP Scanner or the device that's acting up It seems to be unable to find Cisco SG and CBS series switches on the network, which we exclusively use Sometimes, but usually not at all, it can find them
