With the convenience of creating flight plans in Skyvector, I would have thought someone would have come up with a simple conversion program, or possibly that Skyvector would include an option to output a "PLN" version

Thanks for sharing It's amazing which add-ons MSFS initiated As far as I read, this can't be running on a networked machine right now which I would prefer, less because of the resources it consumes but because it blocks view onto the scenery panel

I really appreciate skyvector com as a tool for initial route planning and providing me with a good lookout to the upcoming VFR flight, but honestly I'm not very satisfied with the FAA Sectional charts

It's totally fine to use skyvector but it is for real pilots and will file your flight plan with Flight Services, definitely DO NOT do that if you are just using it for flight sim I believe there are some programs that will convert skyvector plans to flight sim PLN format but I haven't used any Here's one link I found:

If I'm going to make a flight plan in FLSim, I have to see it in SkyVector, so I can add the desired waypoints and if I fly, I'll see my plane in SkyVector I had already created an account with SkyVector, but I do need to According to the writers of A Glide to Fligtsimulator apparently not, because that is not mentioned by them
- What do the different colors of weather stations indicate on SkyVector?
from SkyVector, what are the meanings of the different colored circles, and for the different amounts of 'fill-in'? It's obvious by hovering over them, that they are weather stations, as the weather info will pop-up, but there doesn't seem to be anything (to my untrained eye) about the weather pop up that would indicate a need for the different colors

Agree, Little Navmap, Skyvector and the MSFS planner are what I use all the time Little Navmap gives you tons of info, including fuel report and loading, bearings, distance and ETE to waypoints, ability to send to Skyvector, etc Skyvector gives you accurate terrain and altitudes and, if you can decipher the codes displayed when you hover over one, you can right click and get airport diagrams

I've having some problems trying to learn how to do flight planning with Sids and Stars using SkyVector I have a payware plane with Navigraph support and have installed the current airac 1809 I selected a route KDCA TO KPHL using the DOCTR4 DQO route I was able to find the Sid ok but I had trouble finding the Star for KPHL
