- VIMAX vs VTSAX vs VEXAX - dividends and cap gains - Mr. Money Mustache
Hi Folks, I just opened a *taxable* account with Vanguard and put all my free cash in VIMAX (exp ratio 0 09%) However, I'm wondering if this fund pays a lot more dividends than infamous (here) VTSAX (exp ratio 0 05%) or VEXAX (0 10
- VIMAX to VTSAX? or not? What would you do - Mr. Money Mustache
Yes VIMAX has better long term returns because it is higher risk VTSAX is a whole lot more diversified(3757 companies VS 365), lower cost(0 05 VS 0 09), has less volatility, and has larger companies in it than VIMAX VIMAX is higher risk no matter what measurement you use I don't know why that requires so much explanation
- How to recreate VTSAX with VFIAX VIMAX VSMAX? - Mr. Money Mustache
I know it is pretty much splitting hairs, and I think I've heard before that VTSAX is mostly the S P500 by weight (70-80%?), but is there a way to get a rough recreation of VTSAX through a combination of VFIAX, VIMAX, and VSMAX? The latter three are options in my company's 401k with no VTSAX option
- VIIIX vs VIGIX - How do I better understand this? - Mr. Money Mustache
$100,000,000 minimum investment, how very baller of you! One follows the very popular S P500 index of the highest valued 500 US companies
- Transferring taxable investments from Vanguard to Fidelity?
Even if you do this, you won't be able to move the money into the zero-fee Fidelity funds without a taxable event
- TRBCX vs VTSAX VFIAX - interesting - Mr. Money Mustache
Here's a far better VTSAX substitute VIMAX Vanguard's Midcap Fund Long-term, it trounces the Total Market (and TRBCX) It's still indexing, and it's fee is nearly as dead low as the Total Market It's essentially a LargeCap and Midcap fund, whereas the Total Market is really a MEGAcap and Largecap fund

- Judge our Asset Allocation (lazy ETF portfolio of VOO and VXF)
It's really 'volatility' in question more than 'risk' I say, if you can handle it, be 100% in stocks As for Mid SmallCaps, I HIGHLY favor tilting into these In fact, my main fund is VIMAX (MidCap Index) Slightly more volatile than Total Market, and historically much better returns A Goldilocks of billion dollar companies and brands we all
