I am using P-Line, and not anywhere near line capacity for the reel There isn't much memory, but if soaking the spool in water for a few minutes provides even less memory than currently exists I would take the time to do that in an effort for a better end result

My rigs are mostly bait casting reel set ups Anything heavier than 1 16th oz I can let the rig sink pull itself At 1 32nd oz weight it's really slow so often I hand pull the line itself At 1 64th oz or lighter I have to hand pull the line from a spinning reel anyway so the straight line from the bait casting reel actually sinks faster
