I mean when the Mju II was new, it was about 500 dollars accounting for inflation, so they were not probably cutting many corners for the forseeable lifetime of the camera But even the newest ones are pushing 20 years, everything is plastic and old flexible circuits that have been shaking around for all this time

The mju-II has a 4e 4g symmetrical lens which is supposedly quite good but not that good, the mju-1 however has a 3e 3g (triplet) which is basically the minimum serious manufacturers could get away with, it is a fairly nicely made camera but not worth anywhere near as much as it seems to go for The XA is about the same size, better looking, has a 35mm f2,8 lens with no less than 7 elements
