Yeah, IME it seems to me that taking kratom before opis like codeine or DHC effectively blocks the opiate receptors and stops the opis working I believe it takes several days for the blocking effect to clear, as several times I have experienced no effects from DHC on an empty stomach several days after having last consumed kratom
