Learned what my sprayer put out for how fast of slow I walked Took good notes and started with Tenacity to try and post m to tame down some Poa Spots I have in my PRG Then 10 days ago I was finished with my back yard Reno, leveled, graded, then sand top layer Dropped my VIP 3 PRG, rolled, and sprayed Tenacity, then dropped the peat moss
- Confusing effects of Tenacity - Lawn Care Forum
For an illustration of what too much mesotrione (Tenacity) will do to fine fescue, see slide 24 of Tenacity: A New Herbicide for Turfgrass Establishment from Washington State University Hopefully, if you didn't overapply the fertilizer with mesotrione, the fine fescue in your lawn will recover, but FF will succumb to heavier doses of mesotrione
- Reseed after Tenacity | Lawn Care Forum
@PlanetBeen per the label Tenacity can be applied prior or post seeding It recommends applying at seeding or close to it for best performance Yes, you can apply Tenacity in Friday and seed on Saturday You can also apply Tenacity on Sunday after seeding on Saturday I prefer to apply after seeding, I’ve applied Tenacity 1 to 2 days after
- Looking for Tenacity Herbicide pointers - Lawn Care Forum
I have used tenacity blanket applications on 3 separate occasions now, and have been disappointed in the results Each time it is the same story I spray tenacity at the rate on the label I use 2tsp tenacity, 3tsp NIS, and some blue dye across 2000 sqft in a 2 gallon hand sprayer
- Tenacity and surfactant - Lawn Care Forum
Good day! I believe that Tenacity (mesotrione) with a surfactant is used as a post emergent herbicide You can use it without a surfactant as a pre-emergent, but I believe it only lasts for 30 days Most use dithiopyr or prodiamine as a pre-emergent for crabgrass I've pasted some info from the cool-season guide below Group: 3 Dithiopyr
- Speed zone, T-Zone, or Tenacity?? - Lawn Care Forum
If you don't have grassy weeds, I would skip the Tenacity because it's kinda expensive relative to other effective herbicides that will do the job on broadleaf stuff Plus there's an annual maximum allowed amount of Tenacity, so I like to save that quota for situations when Tenacity is more uniquely appropriate
- Tenacity before or after mow and dethatch? | Lawn Care Forum
In that instance Tenacity is great as a pre-emergent, while having "some" post emergent qualities The bottom line is, if you need to kill weeds, you are better off using a true post emergent that includes 2,4D I doubt you will find anyone on this forum that will recommend Tenacity as a post emergent

The spot treatment directions on the Tenacity label are 1 gallon of water for every 1000 sq ft You have 300 sq meters which translates to 3229 sq ft You can do 4 gallons of water The spot treatment amount is 0 5 teaspoon of Tenacity and 1 5 teaspoons of non ionic surfactant per gallon of water over 1000 sq ft
- Bentgrass and Tenacity - Lawn Care Forum
Perennial Ryegrass is more sensitive to Tenacity than KBG so will bleach more with blanket sprays and the follow-up spot spraying Do not apply Tenacity to Ryegrass at more than 5 Oz Acre Bentgrass may need more than one application of Tenacity to eliminate The label recommends using a surfactant and up to three applications
- Can I Use Tenacity on these weeds as a Post Emergent?
tenacity is an okay post emergent and an okay preemergent If you need to seed and do one of those things at the same time then sure If you need to kill some of the weeds that tenacity is pretty good at then great As a general broadleaf post or pre emergent its expensive for the effectiveness TZone is a better choice for you
